Here is the result of the election regarding Palmdale’s measure to increase sales tax to the maximum. We are at maximum now, but Palmdale intends to put in an emergency declaration to go over the max.
Carillo, who is now our state rep, passed a state measure that allows going OVER the state tax maximum in fiscal emergencies. We have a 98 million deficit (we were balanced just 2 years ago when Hofbauer was mayor).
